Eric Squared RSO-Infused Snickerdoodles 40mg THC: Gluten-Free Goodness

It’s kind of rare to see medicated cookies on Ohio marijuana menus. When I noticed Nectar was selling medicated snickerdoodles at 50% off, I figured this was a good chance to try some cookies. I liked how they were infused with RSO instead of regular distillate.

Eric and Eric, or Eric Squared, is an Ohio company that bakes gluten-free goods infused with medical cannabis. The team began as Eban’s Bakehouse back in 2011. For the Ohio legal cannabis market their products are manufactured and distributed through BeneLeaves.

I found this description of their company on the Elevated Growth website:

“Eric and Eric Artisanal, Sensational Medicinals is a veteran/family-owned bakery dedicated to creating the most effective,100% gluten-free, preservative-free, cannabis infused baked goods.

Chef Eric Braddock and his wife and partner, Chef Adrienne Novak (both veterans and award-winning culinary professionals) are taking edibles to the highest level of quality using superior ingredients like sweet cream butter, pure vanilla and their proprietary blend of certified gluten-free flours, carefully blended with the highest quality distillates using nanotechnology.

Their Exceptionally Righteous Infused Cannabis cookie and brownie bites are consistently dosed and baked to perfection for long-lasting relief without any trace of gluten or preservatives.”

The package contained two square-shaped cookies, each dosed at about 20mg of THC. One of them was very crumbled, the other was relatively intact.

This was the cookie that had suffered some crumbling inside the package.

They smelled sweet and sugary like you would expect a snickerdoodle to smell. They didn’t give off a cannabis odor.

When eaten, the Eric Squared RSO-Infused Snickerdoodles had the consistency of a soft brownie. The cookies were crumbly, probably because they were gluten-free. They tasted like cinnamon and sugar, just as you would expect a treat of this nature to taste.

During the chew I could detect the RSO, but it wasn’t very strong. It was nowhere near as intense as eating a glob of RSO on its own. There was a bit of a weedy aftertaste, but nothing I couldn’t handle.

Each of the cookies had a removable, edible sticker with the THC! warning logo.

I did not get any medical effects from these snickerdoodles, even after eating two of them. Maybe 40mg of RSO just wasn’t enough for me. I’d be interested to see how these cookies affect someone who reacts well to edibles.

I feel like if I ate 40mg of THC from RSO out of a syringe I would feel much more of a medical effect. I also keep in mind that with all legal RSO in Ohio, the THC cap is around 70%. True forms of medical RSO, seen in other states, have THC percentages that exceed 90%. I call our stuff “RSOhio”.

I gave the Eric Squared RSO-Infused Snickerdoodles a 7 for taste, 4 for harshness, 0 for strength, 5 for smell strength (they smelled like cookies, not weed) and 0 minutes for length of medical effects.
