Another one of these new Galenas offerings I’ve been wanting to try is the Moroccan Peaches. It’s a 27.90% THC hybrid high in limonene, linalool and caryophyllene. Not only was the name enticing but the buds looked good through the bottom of the bag. My tenth weighed 3.03 grams with the only stems being those found within the middle of the well-trimmed buds.
The lineage on this one is listed different on the front and back of the bag. Printed on the front alongside the graphics it says Peaches x Lemon Tree x Skorange. On the back of the bag, the white sticker with all of the THC and terp info says Spanish Barbara x Lemon Tree Skorange. Maybe those two lineages are actually the same lineage written in two different ways, I’m not sure.
The custom bag for this strain is awesome. The front has the Galenas wizards sitting outdoors in Morocco holding peaches in their hand. There is custom artwork on the back of the bag that features a Moroccan cityscape with birds flying above. Inside of the bag you’ll find a shiny surface with repeated prints of the Galenas wizard heads.

The artwork personalizes the product and gives it a unique identity, kind of like an album cover. I thought Ohio marijuana packaging laws disallowed cool graphics and cartoonish characters, but somehow Galenas seems to get around this. It would be nice to see other companies use awesome branding in the way that Galenas does. I have seen some Standard Farms bags with cool graphics, so maybe it’s just a matter of getting the artwork approved by some sort of pied piper.
When I tore open the top and unleashed the scent I was honestly taken aback by what I smelled. It was a very light, peachy odor. Fruity, but not overpoweringly fruity. Not gassy or skunky. It almost didn’t even smell like cannabis. I perceived these scents in the following order: peach, orange, and marijuana. The smell reminded me of that Simply Peach drink I used to buy once in a while.
Before opening this bag I had never smelled a peach marijuana strain. After consuming some I wondered if the marketing had fooled me into thinking the light orange citrus terps smelled like peaches. I’ve never smelled any marijuana quite like it which is an elusive quality when trying a new strain. The dominant terps are s-Limonene (5.770 mg/g), Linalool (2.530 mg/g) and b-Caryophyllene (2.530 mg/g).
There were fantastic flavonoids in this flower. It was mostly bright green with a few darker spots. There were lots of long orange pistils that stuck pretty close to the bud. The trim was terrific and tight with no extra stemmage or leaf. The Moroccan Peaches looked great when broken up sitting in a bowl waiting to be consumed.
The flower seemed slightly on the drier side and produced some dust when ran through a grinder. It was by no means terrible or anything. When squeezed, the buds gave an audible crunch. The only time I personally got something drier than this from Galenas was when I got some of their I-71 last year. It wasn’t horrible, but in the Cannabinoid Compendium I wrote “The I-71 is not offensively dry, but it was tinged dry.“
Breaking this stuff up by hand was a fantastic experience. Not only would most of the chunks slightly stick to my fingers, but there was a wonderful, subtle citrus aroma while doing so. I unearthed thousands of undisturbed trichomes as I peeled layer after layer of bud off the bone. Kiefy residue stuck to my hands. This flower rolled up nice and produced a full-bodied joint. It pretty much went poof in a water pipe but it made for a nice bowl.
The Moroccan Peaches burned at about medium speed and ashed light. If 1 was the slowest and 10 was the fastest, I’d say it burned at about 6. Joints seemed to burn average but the bowls kind of went quicker than normal. It could have been because the stuff tasted so good that I just took more hits in quicker succession.
The flavor and smell reminded me of an Agent Orange strain I sampled years ago but the Moroccan Peaches were a little less sharp. Not only did it taste sweet and smooth but there was a very low amount of harshness to the smoke.
This is not one of those heavy, dank strains. It’s unique. Even though the strain’s lineage contains Lemon Tree, I didn’t perceive a lemon smell or taste unless I really searched for it. If you like fruity citrus stuff and want something new you should check out the Moroccan Peaches.
I gave the Moroccan Peaches from Galenas an 8 for taste, 3 for harshness, 7 for strength, 6 for smell strength and 60 minutes for length of medical effects. The flower gave me strong hybrid vibes considering the large limonene and linalool content. It was relaxing yet I was able to focus. I couldn’t help but think of that song “Peaches” and sing “I’m movin’ to Galenas, gonna smoke Moroccan Peaches.”
