While at Beartown Lakes in Chagrin Falls I saw this hat propped up on a pillar.
Did someone intend to make a statement by leaving the hat in a prominent place? Did they mean to grab the hat at a later time and simply forget to do so?
The hat says The World Famous City of Amsterdam, Est. 1275, The Ultimate City of Freedom.
Was the cap bought in Amsterdam? Did it make the long trek from Amsterdam to Chagrin Falls? Likely, but there’s no way to be sure.
It looked well-worn. I wonder how much joint smoke has swept the underside of this hat’s bill.
