UB Good, owned by One Orijin, is a cannabis processor that currently operates in Maryland, Nevada and Ohio. They take cannabis grown by others and use it to make a variety of products, such as distillate-infused gummies, hard candies/mints, capsules (pills), sublingual sprays and tinctures. They also process distillate for disposables and 510 carts. Their resin and rosin is sold under the brand name UB Good Labs, which is often listed as a separate company on most dispensary menus.

Some of the most popular THC gummies in Ohio are made by UB Good. This is because of their vegan nature (they’re made with pectin, not gelatin), accurate and consistent dosing, wide availability and low price point. On a non-sale day, an Ohio recreational customer can usually walk out of a dispensary with a 100mg 10-pack of UB Good gummies for around $20.

Since my body doesn’t give much of a reaction to edibles in general, I usually don’t buy UB Good gummies. However, a lot of people that I know who do get medicated from edibles say that UB Good gummies are their go-to. I was recently given a few UB Good edibles by fans of the blog, so in order to thank them, I’d like to share my thoughts about the products.

Most UB Good gummies come in 100mg 10-packs, which equals 10mg of THC per gummy. Each piece is individually wrapped for maximum freshness and portability. You won’t have to worry about opening up the 10-pack and having half of the gummies stuck to each other.

Each gummy is perforated so you can easily turn it into two 5mg doses. Cannabis users with low tolerances can make a 100mg 10-pack last 20 doses by tearing each piece in half. UB Good gummies have light sugar coating with a soft consistency. They aren’t gooey and don’t get stuck to the teeth.

The following UB Good gummies contain THC as their only cannabinoid: indica Orange Dreamcicle, hybrid Wild Berry Hibiscus, sativa Black Cherry Lemonade, high dose hybrid Pineapple Punch and high dose hybrid Cherry Pomegranate.

The hybrid Blueberry Lemonade 1:1 gummies have 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBD per piece. The hybrid Ginger Peach 1:1 gummies have 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBG per piece. The sativa Watermelon Lime 1:1 gummies have 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBC per piece. The indica Razzzberry Sleep gummies have 10mg of THC and 10mg of CBN per piece.

The first product I am reviewing in this article is a hybrid Juicy Pear 1:10 high CBD gummy. There are 20 pieces in each pack. Each piece has 5mg of THC and 50mg of CBD. When torn in half, each half contains 2.5mg of THC and 25mg of CBD. I’ve also seen this 1:10 dose available in a Peach Mango flavor, which is exclusive to Bloom dispensaries.

The Juicy Pear 1:10 gummies are well-liked by people who suffer from various forms of pain and inflammation. The high amount of CBD combined with a small splash of THC is exactly what Dr. Feelgood ordered to numb what is dumb and quell living hell. For many, the Juicy Pear gummies don’t provide much of a high, because the large dose of CBD seems to taper off most of the THC’s psychoactive effects.

The Juicy Pear 1:10 gummy tasted really good. I could barely taste the hash within. I enjoyed the flavor so much that I couldn’t help but think I wish they would sell these in a non-psychoactive form.

About 30 minutes after eating one of the Juicy Pear 1:10 gummies, I was surprised to find that I felt more medicated than I thought I would. It wasn’t anything outrageous, but I undoubtedly had an extra pep in my step. I completely forgot about the nagging lower back pain that was slowing my gait. Upon realizing that the gummy did more than I thought it would, I gained a new appreciation for edibles that contain both THC and CBD.

I gave the UB Good Juicy Pear 1:10 THC:CBD gummy a 9 out of 10 for taste, 2 out of 10 for harshness, 6 out of 10 for strength, 5 out of 10 for smell strength (I couldn’t smell the weed) and 2 to 3 hours for length of medical effects.

Maybe it was something about the entourage between the THC and CBD that made the Juicy Pear gummy seem somewhat strong even though it contained very little THC. I often hear that CBD tapers off the psychoactive effects of THC, but that may not be the case for every person in every scenario.

In legal Ohio edible cannabis markets, “high dose” is considered 50mg or 55mg of THC per piece. By law, that is the highest amount of THC allowed in one dose. An entire package cannot contain more than 550mg of THC. Lawmakers are talking about lowering this limit for recreational users down to a maximum of 110mg of THC per package. Let’s hope this immoral initiative gets stomped out efficiently, as many recreational users take cannabis for medical purposes. Cannabis should be available in all forms for everyone’s benefit, not just those registered in a state-legal medical marijuana program.

550mg per pack is much less THC than what is considered “high dose” in other states. People from New York have told me about their 1000mg chocolate bars. I’ve seen gummies from Michigan that contain 100mg per piece with a little disclaimer on the back of the package that says “cut each gummy into fifths to create 20mg doses”. Those gummies were small and unperforated, so cutting them accurately into fifths would be a tough task. I ate the whole piece and felt nothing.

I was given a high dose UB Good Cherry Pomegranate gummy that contained 50mg of THC. Many people get long-lasting, powerful medical effects from both these and the high dose Pineapple gummies. I don’t care for the flavor of pineapple gummies, but the Cherry Pomegranate treat tasted terrific. I could taste the hash in these ones much more than I could in the lower dose Juicy Pear gummies.

A few hours after consumption, I remembered that I had eaten the UB Good high dose gummy. At that moment I realized that I hadn’t felt medicated the entire time.

It’s strange how edibles don’t do much for me. I have heard that certain people have stomach enzymes that break down THC faster than others. I have also heard that those with fast metabolisms don’t feel strong effects from edibles. Whatever the case may be, this experience reminded me why I don’t buy edibles: because they simply don’t do much for me.

I gave the UB Good Cherry Pomegranate 50mg gummy an 8 out of 10 for taste, 4 out of 10 for harshness (the distillate inside of UB Good gummies is made using a solvent), 1 out of 10 for strength (many others would give this edible a much higher strength rating), 5 out of 10 for smell strength (I couldn’t really smell the weed) and 0 minutes for length of medical effects.

I have also tried UB Good’s 550mg Relief Capsules, which is a bottle with 11 capsules each containing 50mg of THC. I’ve had some people tell me that one of the 50mg UB Good Relief Capsules is exactly the dose that works well for them. I once took six of these capsules (300mg) before a comedy show and felt nothing other than a slight headache and some sleepiness.

Taking too much THC can actually have the opposite effect of ingesting a smaller dose. When I eat too many edibles, I get a headache and feel nauseous, which are two symptoms that are relieved when I smoke or vape some cannabis. Different delivery methods and doses can work in unique ways for each individual.
