Midnight Oasis, along with Puff n’ Stuff, were two Kent headshops that I grew up with. Believe it or not, there was a time when there wasn’t a headshop or vape store on every American street corner. It used to be kind of difficult to find a smoke shop that sold glass pipes and bongs. Oh, and you couldn’t say the words “bong”, “weed”, or “cannabis”, or else they would be forced to kick you out! How times have changed.

Back when headshops were not a dime a dozen, Midnight Oasis was a destination for all smoking accessories. They have been open almost every day since 1991 serving the Kent stoner community. In 2000 they moved down the road from their original spot to their current location, 1108 South Water Street, right near McDonald’s.

As of December 2025, Midnight Oasis is planning another move. Due to some issues with a new landlord, the store owner, Chris Todd, announced that Midnight Oasis will be closing their doors on January 1st, 2026. While there are plans to move to another location, those plans aren’t finalized. When they are, I will update this page with the new address.

Until the store closes on January 1st, 2026, everything except for hemp products is 50% off! Starting December 20th, 2025, all hemp flower and vapes will also be 50% off. From December 28th through December 31st the store will be cash-only, as the shop’s internet will be disconnected, so Chris will be unable to take electronic payments during that time.

Midnight Oasis has always maintained an old-school headshop feel. This is due to its cramped aisles filled with stuff, laid-back vibe and the smell of incense in the air. There isn’t much space inside of this store but every inch is utilized to its fullest potential.

You’ll find pot-themed t-shirts, hoodies, hats and other wearables. There is jewelry such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets, along with amethyst stones and chunks of quartz.

Midnight Oasis has a large selection of mid-tier glass pipes and bongs. They also stock less-expensive pipes made of other materials such as metal, stone, clay and wood. From now until the end of the year is an excellent chance to buy some glass at 50% off!

If you are looking for a good selection of rolling papers, Midnight Oasis is your spot. They stock lots of different brands, sizes and paper types, such as hemp, rice, wood pulp, bamboo, flax and clear cellulose.

Other products available at Midnight Oasis include consumable hemp items like flower and vapes, cannabis seeds, kratom, hemp wick spools, blunt wraps, candles, air spray, eye drops, drug test kits, incense, stickers, grinders, vaporizers, 510 batteries, scales, screens, posters, stash jars, tobacco cigarettes, snacks and many different types of lighters. You’ll also see lots of professional wrestling memorabilia around the store.

The parking situation for the current building isn’t great. There isn’t much space. When it comes time to park your car, there are a few spots in the front of the building and some space on the side of the store.
